The Joys of January // Looking Ahead, Issue 1 (VII)

 It's 2018!

*inhales happily* A year of fresh starts. 2017 was pretty good - two new additions to our family, Mia and Kit!
I know this is a 'Looking Ahead', but I want to look back over 2017 briefly and choose my favorite post from each month!

January - The Ice Princess Probably one of my favorite photoshoots EVER.
February - I STILL Love AG And I'm Proud of That
Wow. This one got a LOT of views... and went pretty crazy.
March - Spending a Day in Space
I loved making this: the foil and improvised spacesuit, the moonsand, the foil landing pad.... the flag... EVERYTHING WAS SO FUN!
April - 6 Tips on How to Be a Doll Celebrity XD XD This one was one of my pet projects. It's like, a sarcastic poke of fun at celebrity stuff.... May - Mia and Star Another photoshoot. How original... June - Adventure in the Attic
This was so much fun to do - it took like, two hours in 100+ degree summer attic weather. *swelters at thought* But it was TOTALLY worth it. :) July - Triple…

Spring Blossoms ~ An AGPS ~

Starring Juliette Albright
Hi lovely readers! It's Jules here. I feel super happy that I got my very own photoshoot. Plus, I'll be sharing little things along the way - oh, and uh.... I saved the best for last. :D

I like these shoes a LOT. :D Guess the two bloggers that this photoshoot reminds L4TL of.... or just scroll down and let me tell you!

My dress was made by Light4theLord and her wonderful grandmother. It reminds me especially of the Victorian Age (well, duh. It's made from a Samantha pattern.)... and that's why it makes her think of Samantha of AGDollAwesome because of her current photostory series 'Wealthy Hearts' which you should go check out! :D

Now, if you look at my hair, you'll see that it was done using Madi's (from Delightful World of Dolls ) hair tutorial! :D

I like this one a lot. :)

Anyways, I especially liked how L4TL used the flexi clip. It's awesome!

Do you know how excited Elly was when she tied a perfect bow? It was so, so funny to see her cheering.

Ready for my favorites? Keep scrolling!

Aren't these weeds flowers gorgeous? I liked them in the picture.

Some of the lovely flower blossoms tucked into my braid...

This is my second favorite. My first favorite is coming up!

Do you like this one? :)

This is my favorite picture of them all. Totally.
I hope you enjoyed this!
~ Jules

  1. I absolutely love your dress Julie! Light4theLord and her grandmother did a great job on it!

    1. Thanks! I love wearing it! I totally agree! :)

  2. Nice photos! Jules is so pretty in that dress and with that hairstyle. It's all very elegant. :)

    1. Aw, thank you! I loved the elegance. :) ~ Light4theLord

  3. Amazing once again! You're one of the best photographers around! I love Julie's dress, and the perfect bow! (I'm HORRID at bows) XD Also, thanks for the link!! I'm so glad you like Wealthy Hearts! Speaking of photo series', when is the next part of SOS coming? The first part was phenomenal!

    1. Oh, thank you! That means so much to me!! :) I'm normally terrible at bows too and I nearly did a victory dance when I realized how perfect it was!! XD I really need to just buckle down and finish that second part. I'm working ahead because the 4th and on are really going to take a LOT of time. I'm also trying to balance a ton of schoolwork right now, and I am just DYING for summer to come! I wish I could work on it tomorrow, but it's my mom's birthday and I get to be Mary Magdalene in a nearby Passion Play.... twice. :D

  4. *cue the screaming*

    *cue the awkward coughing*

Ahem. Sorry, sorry. ;D Julie, you look GREAT! Your hair is absolutely beautiful! And L4TL, thanks so much for doing the tutorial and mentioning it! :O Your photos... *dies* And Julie's dress! Ahh, it's so cute! You and such a great seamstress -- you and your grandmother did a spectacular job! *winces at the doll costumes she made recently* XD

Thanks again for doing the tutorial on Julie! She looks so beautiful. And excuse me while I continue to drool over your beautiful photos. :D

P.S. LOVE the new design. I'm so sorry I haven't been active in the online doll blogging world recently, I've been so slammed with stuff for The Goodbye. But now that that's over... it's on to more commenting and introducing K.C. and *mysterydoll*! ;)

    1. YES!!!!
      You're happy. That's good. :D
Haha, I totally know the 'wincing-at-doll-outfits-that-are-homemade-and-cringing-over-and-over process'.... :D
      I agree! She's a gorgeous doll. :)
      ~ Light4theLord
P.S. YAY! I'm glad! I enjoyed 'The Goodbye' - it was fantabulous! I can't wait to find out who your 'mystery doll' is even though I think I might have an idea....
