Welcome back to see the calamities of an impatient blogger with some very uncooperative dolls and lighting!
Those stinkin' USB drives.... The wobbly bench... what I like to call the 'sunburnt lighting'... lost hairthings...
All of which contributed to my immense frustration. Like, no kidding.
EVERYTHING WAS GOING HORRIBLY.
First, the dolls would NOT cooperate. Neither would the sets, props, or outfits. *facedesk* or the lighting. AUGH THE HORRID LIGHTING. Wanna see it?! *gulp*
PROBLEM #1: THE BENCH FALLS OVER WHENEVER DOLLS PLACED ON IT
Try #1 and solution: Place bench inside car toy. Place blue legos around bench legs. Take photo.
PROBLEM #2: TWO DOLLS' FACES ARE SUPER DARK AND ARE GIVEN A WEIRD TINT
Try #1: Lucy, please hold this reflector so that the light will bounce into your lovely students' faces.
Fail #1: *crash* Well, there go all the props. *facedesk*
Try #2: My foot, please hold this up for a moment.
Fail #2: I couldn't get the photo around the posterboard without knocking it over. again.
Try #3: LUCY JUST STAND THERE AND SUPPORT IT.
Achievement #1: It kinda worked.
PROBLEM #3: LUCY'S FACE IS BRIGHT RED. A WEIRD SUNBURNT RED. AN ANNOYING REDDISH SHADE/TINT. VERY ANNOYING.
(no pic, sorry)
Try #1: reflector
Fail #1: still reddish
Try #2: reflector plus flashlight to bounce better light off onto her face.
Fail #2: still didn't work
Try #3: just shine the light directly on her face. Bad idea, but worth a try.
Fail #3: nevermind. still a bad idea.
WOULD YOU BELIEVE WHAT THE REAL SOLUTION WAS?!?!?!
I was trying to use my sister's phone (the above one) to take a picture of the camera screen verses the real lighting to show the difference.
And when I took the picture, the screen of the camera showed up normal. So now I'm cropping the one from my sister's phone! XD XD XD
*facedesk* That would've saved me a lot of time in the first place.
*******************************************************
That was just the first part of the NC. *facedesk* And so I uploaded the photos from the camera to my dad's computer (the one with the little cord thingy). And would you believe that as the USB drive was copying the 1,100+ photos (not all mine, thank you very much), it quit. Like, kaput. Like, BOOM. ALL OF THAT TIME WASTED.
So, I ditched that one and tried another one. When I inserted into this computer (the home computer), it showed up as having nothing on it. *facedesk facedesk* AUGH. So, I try again. And guess what happens? I can't copy them onto THIS computer because they've all turned into weird character/symbol files that look like they're in Arabic. *facedesk facedesk* When I finally, finally, finally got MY BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS HERE....
The most essential ones were corrupted. AUGH AUGH AUGH *screams a million decibels*
LIKE HOW EVEN.
So I did it again. BUT WITH MY CARELESSNESS AND TEXTING MADI LORFING AT THE SAME TIME..... I grabbed the bad one that had been kaput. *FACEWALL* *FACECEMENT* AUGHHHHH!
*tries again*
So, it finally worked (you can see in the top left corner 'tryagain' folder. XD That's my sacred one. XD)
*************************************************************
Anyways, there you go. Ya'll ought to be very, very, very honored and feel very, very special that I'm going through all of this for ya'll. XD XD XD

Yikes!! Sounds so frustrating :-( :-( .
ReplyDeleteOnce I accidentally somehow deleted all the pictures on my camera :-O :-O . I managed to recover some of them (after a long process), but, thankfully, I don't think there was anything too essential lost.
I'm glad that it's worked out now! Hopefully it's been a good learning experience at least. ☺
Very, but now it's funny re-reading it. XD
DeleteOuch! I've done something *almost* like that, so I TOTALLY know how that is. *winces* I'm SO glad you were able to recover them! Mine were backed up on my dad's computer, thankfully!
Hehe, yes.... a VERY good learning experience!
I love these behind the scenes things. We all have mishaps similar to this. :-)
