life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Behind the Scenes: Dolls N' All

Hey there, fantastic readers!
It's me, Light4theLord. I thought perhaps, just maybe, you'd like to see some behind the scenes of DNA! I don't know if this will end up being a series of some sort, or just a random post here and there, but I'll share tips and secrets that only I know about DNA!
*************************************
1. Jennifer Leishman, the amazing girl who won one of my PPPs, became my pen pal. Her birthday is today, so wish her a happy birthday in the comments please! :) She's sent me some amazing doll stuff, and I love it!

2. Unfortunately, Madi's ice cream wasn't... ice cream. Ahem.
It was actually...

... spoiled sour cream in a Ziploc bag piped into a plastic cup with the tip of a straw stuck into it.

3. This is an actual record player used in Julie's retro shoot - and it was playing Christmas music in like, October, or whenever I did that one.

4. This has GOT to be the BEST one of them all... ready?

Did you know... that Elly's birthday cake.... wasn't cake... but was...

Layered marshmallows!

Indeed - four 'S'mores' marshmallows (horrible invention. You can't even roast them evenly. *facepalm*) hot glued together and hot glued onto a piece of foil. Hehe.

It was EXTREMELY fun to decorate though! I found a whole bunch of icing in the fridge and had at it! Best. DNA. Secret. Ever.
5. I have an absolutely adorable little almost-two-year-old sister who absolutely LOVES my dolls.
^ precisely ^

The problem is, my doll room (and my entire room, for that matter) is normally in havoc like a tornado, hurricane, and tsunami came into the room, had an argument, fought it out, and then a torpedo came through and finished it off. Pretty much...
Just take the above picture for example. I was doing a photostory (which I still have saved for a rainy day like today when I was SUPPOSED to get my entry for Samantha's AGPS2C finished. sigh.) with Sam and Katie, and she walked around the corner, squealed, and.. yeah... just look at that gleeful look on her face as she pulls Sam's braids. Sorry about that, again, Sam.

I hope you enjoyed that! I have several more secrets up my sleeve (actually, I'm wearing short-sleeves right now. hehe..) and I can't wait to post them!
Remember that award post with the surprise at the end? Well, so far, I've gotten almost the entire first part of the first SOS done, I've gotten the first part of TLH finished, I have the THDS cast in place, and... yeah.

  1. Yay! This was awesome! If I ever made that cake, I'd probably stick the marshamallows together with icing so I could eat it after pictures. LOL
You may want to read the end of my newest post, I just think you are amazing, and that you deserve so much more than what you have. You're one of the best doll bloggers I've ever met. <3

    1. I'm super glad you like it! Smart - except they were uneven and I couldn't get them to stay... and I also get really sick after eating too many. It kept me from eating the entire thing! :D
Ohmygoodness - thank you so much! I just finished ( and commented!) and you have absolutely NO idea how much that means to me! Thank you so much!!

    1. Thanks! I was VERY proud of it (especially since I was pretty sure I was going to ruin the decorations - and very nearly did - since even though I'm an okay big cake decorator I was sure it'd be horrid since it was so tiny... but it actually worked!)
