life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Golden Days: An Evening Melody

Photoshoot #1 for AGdollawesome's AG Photo Shoot Competition

Okay, so this is my first AG Photo Shoot Competition photoshoot! It's mainly featuring Julie, but there's also some of Elizabeth and Honey in here too- the theme is music, so I went with the things that make music- instruments! Let us begin!

The violin is such a gorgeous instrument (taken from experience!)!

Don't you love the bokeh?!

Sorry, this one's a bit dark! Actually, I took this during golden hour (I watched the position of the sun for hours to make sure it was just right!)

The sun was setting, and it cast a golden glow, and was at just the right angle for bokeh if I laid on my stomach on the ground.

Now... I'm going to narrate a photostory that's woven in the pictures (I had it in mind while I was taking the pictures!)

Julie's POV

I tuned my violin. The meadow was a beautiful, placid, serene haven for me when I came to escape the business of life. The first melodramatic notes wafted into the air as I played.

The sun was setting and it cast a magical glow on everything. It was my favorite time of day.

Suddenly, a little golden retriever puppy bounded up and barked happily, its tail wagging furiously.

I paused, and then continued. The dog liked it!

Her cute little head was cocked toward me as I played. I'd never seen her before, especially not around here in my meadow. I wondered who she belonged to.

The glint of the sun off the strings was stunning, I thought as I  calmly played the piece I had memorized.

Abruptly I stopped, for a girl stood in my presence.

"I really liked that song," she said quietly. "I hope I'm not bothering you. Could I join you?" Actually, she was. I preferred being by myself, but I had to be courteous.
"Sure, I guess," I mumbled.

She retrieved a pretty brown guitar/ukulele type thingy.
I had to admit she was pretty good.
Little did I know how wonderful of a friendship had just started.

Elizabeth and her guitar...

More of the sun's lovely beams!

I absolutely love this one! It has to be my favorite!

See the lovely violinist?

Now look at the guitarist!

Aerial!

I like these shots of the violin.

Ahhh... her golden hair is so pretty! It's always so smooth and silky!

An up-close shot...

I couldn't resist adding little Honey in! Isn't she just precious?!

I like these- Julie is just laying down and the sun was so perfect! This is probably one of my first golden hour shots! Plus, it was perfect timing- right between two storms!

I was so happy the ground had dried enough for me to lay her down!

I hope you liked these! I'm super excited about this competition- it should be fun!

A few bonus pictures:

The dolls on the piano!

Okay, that's all, but next week I'll have the next Photoshoot for the next Challenge up! Be sure that if you haven't signed up, I think there's still two spots left!
