life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

The Sisters Tag

Hello there! I'm Samantha Parkington, and recently, Kenzie and Brookie at Stuffie Adventures nominated Katie and me (yes, that is correctly written) for the Sisters Tag!
We're both very excited -

Rules:
  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link back to their blog.
  • Answer the eleven questions given, and have your sister do the same for you. This way, we can compare and contrast the two of you!
  • Nominate seven bloggers and have them answer the same eleven questions.
  • Have fun!
The Questions:
  1. Which of you is older?
  2. What’s your favorite thing to do together?
  3. What is your sister’s favorite food?
  4. What’s a character trait in the other that you appreciate?
  5. What’s a character trait in the other that you don’t appreciate?
  6. What’s one hobby you have that the other doesn’t?
  7. Who keeps a cleaner room?
  8. What’s the biggest way in which your sister can annoy you?
  9. Describe each other in three words.
  10. How do the two of you differ personality-wise?
  11. Why do you love your sister? (C’mon, you know you do!)

Samantha's Answers

1. Katie is, actually. Believe it or not, she's a week older.... even though everyone says that I look older, sound older, and act older. It's only a week difference, though, so we might as well be twins!

2. Uh, well... most of the time we just spend time together. We'll do our own thing, but we'll also do each others' stuff. Most of the time I'm pretty shy and quiet, but around Katie? We can get pretty giddy. I enjoy writing, as everyone knows, and Katie knows how to crack me up. For example, she offered to try writing a poem because I was working on a competition entry. I handed her a pen and paper, explained a bit, and then returned to my own little world. Five minutes later, this was paper-airplaned back.

I was told that a poeim
Is somthin like this
Lots of borring lines
That pepole spend time on.
I really don't get it
But at lease I tryd
Even tho Sam'll say
It's horibul.
It doesn't rhyme
But neither does most people's
(What's a stanza, BTW?)
I was told to be
carful of stanzas
wich I think must mene
the type of pen I was handed
anyways, I think this is really a tirsome thing
how could anyone enjoy it?

separating it into interupted lines.
no joke.

this?
personly it's annoying
didn't any1 ever tell em
that interrupting is bad?
I payd attention in
English long enof
to know that these
are little fragmints

3. Food? Shhhh! Katie loves all food - but especially sugar. She will literally eat anything and everything. Her personal favorite though, was something went along the lines of.. what was it? Oh yes, sugar.
Please don't give it to her. She doesn't need any more energy. She's got plenty of it.

4. Her... optimism and creativity. We'll put it that way - Katie is most definitely... optimistic. She's always laughing at people and she's very creative at coming up with pranks to play.

5. Oh, this is easy. Her inability to keep things neat. We... are polar opposites and best friends - I can't stand an unmade, messy bed. I can't bear the thought of unwashed dishes, and if clothes aren't folded, I can't sit down.
Katie, on the other hand, loves un-neatness. She thrives on unmade beds and doesn't care if she throws her clothes into the closet without a second thought.

6. Writing, for sure. As you may have read, Katie hates school and writing. I love it! I could write for hours on end!

7. I do. Absolutely.

8. Um, I'm not actually going to list this. I don't really want to give her any more ideas. She's already got plenty of them, thanks to the DWOD Chat and her eavesdropping ability to read some of the 'how to annoy your sister' comments.

9. Active, talkative, messy.

10. We're talking about the farthest possible ends of the spectrum - complete and total opposites. It's funny that we're best of friends, but they say that opposites attract, right?
It's also weird how we can be best of friends and then be at each other's throats the next minute.

11. She's always there for me. She makes me laugh, and is always making me try new things, which is probably good... sometimes. Note - trying habanero peppers is not fun. I don't even know where she got those.

Katie's Answers

1. I AM! MWHAHAHAHAHA! So THERE! Fine, I admit. It's only a week difference. *sigh* BUT I AM STILL OLDER!

2. Us? Do stuff together? Oh yeah! Like the time I pulled that really cool prank on her? Oh. You mean like, both of us enjoying it. Well.... let me think... we both like being together. And we both enjoy being outside, under very specific conditions. And sometimes we'll play games together - mostly bored board games like Balderdash (which is totally not fair, ya'll, she's the wordmaster.), Scrabble (again, not fair), Chess and Checkers (Yasss!), and Planet Cranium. That one's funish. Oh, and hide and seek! And capture the flag!

3. I don't think she's ever told me. Okay, fine. Samantha just hissed at me that she told me like, ten minutes ago. Uhh... I'm thinking. I'll update you on that in a little while if when I remember

4. She's smart, pretty, and very good with words. She's also a very good sport about pranks, loosing games, and um... yeah. She's not good at having fake spiders in her hair. XD That one was great.

5. Her perfectionism. She's always the model child. *sigh* She's an all As student, perfectly neat, and everything matches. Me? Mostly Bs and Cs, super messy (um, excuse me? I'm messily organized! I know where to find stuff or where to dig for it and use a metal detector to find my pen)
Oh, and I've been told I should get my sight checked because my outfit clashed. XD I think it looks fun!

6. Running around and getting sweaty while playing sports. Is that a hobby? She hates it, whether or not it counts.
OH I REMEMBER! I REMEMBER HER FAVORITE FOOD!!! SUGAR!
No wait, that's my favorite food. Nevermind. Just keep reading and ignore that part. Someone remind me how to delete stuff?

7. I am totally a neatnick.. not XD XD XD. Seriously, I am neatly messy! I don't stack books perfectly (first of all, because I don't READ books), and I don't fold clothes. I merely.. drape them on the closet floor. See what I mean? I don't put pens back in the pencil holder, I prefer having a stressful adventure in finding them right before school.

8. Sam? Annoy ME? Impossible!
OH I REMEMBER! HER FAVORITE FOOD IS CARROTS!
What do you mean, it's not?
Ugh. Sam just said that she does NOT like carrots. That must of been that cool dressed up bunny at six flags. What was he called again? Insect bunny? Oh yeah, Bugs Bunny!
Does he have fleas or something?
Anyways, proceed. WOW I USED A BIG WORD!

9. Perfect, perfect, perfect.
XD

10. US? DIFFER?! HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST THAT!
XD XD XD
This is really fun. I like this. Can we nominate ourselves? I wanna do it again.
Anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaays........ wouldn't it be more appropriate to ask how we're the same? It might take less time.

11. I love her because she's my sister. Sisters are forever, and if you don't love 'em, you still have to put up with them. XD But seriously, I love her because she's the best sister and friend anyone could dream of!
