life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Reasons to Vote for the DOTM

Today, I (Madi) will be sharing my opinion and my voting ideas for voting for the next DOTM! I know my time is almost up, and I'm not too terribly sad except for the fact that I never got to post my craft/baking/birthday post because my USB drive disappeared. Let's get going!

First up, the reasons that people voted for the top two dolls:

Charlotte Anne Baker-Blythe

"I'd love to see Charlotte's craft tutorials!'
"Because she got to meet Neveah, plus I like her reasons for wanting to be DOTM. :)"
"I think it would be fun & interesting to learn more about her!"
"Because I think she would make a great doll of the month and I think she would enjoy it and have fun."
"I think her personality is really interesting, and I really want to hear about what it is like to be a farm girl in the 1920s as she promised in her intro!"
"She seems like a really unique and fun doll."
"I believe her blog is pretty new, so it could help get her blog out there:)"
"I love her personality."

Paisley Penelope Parker

"Because she is the youngest.<3"
"I think Paisley sounds really interesting, and her point of view as an eight year old who loves pink and ballet would be entertaining for me to see."
"She has a neat family."
"As a ballet dancer myself, I just have a soft spot for dancers! Oh, and of course, pink!"
"I love pink and she loves pink!"
"Because I think it would be cool for her to do it in her birth month."
"She likes pink and ballet and her birthday is on Valentine's day."

Now, for the reasons to vote for these two in this election that ends on January 30. I suggest that both of the candidates go ahead and prepare one post, for whatever the verdict.

REASONS FOR BOTH

- They both have really neat families (like me!)
- They both are the newest doll of their family (like me!)
- They both have unique personalities and POVs (like me!)
- They both have amazing blogs (like the one I'm trying to work on, which is partially why I'm not terribly sad about not being the DOTM after January 31st!)
- They both want to be the DOTM (well, duh!)

REASONS FOR CHARLOTTE

- She got to meet Neveah of Happy House of AG
- She's a farm girl from the 1920s.
- She would like to be an editor.
- She is named after book characters.

REASONS FOR PAISLEY

- Her birthday is February 14th and it'd be cool to see about her birthday.
- She loves pink!
- She would like to be a ballerina.
- She had her own blogger awards.

"Paisley Penelope Parker is TM #21, whom I purchased on my birthday in 2016.  She wears all pink, and is eight years old, the little sister of the family.  She has a teddy bear named Bowie, and she loves to “help” her sisters with their activities.  Paisley’s B-day is Valentines day, and she loves it when she is involved in everything.  She dreams of becoming a Prima ballerina as well!" - AGDollAwesome

"Greetings and salutations! I’m eleven year old Charlotte Anne Baker-Blythe, and I’m named for three of the greatest literary characters ever: Charlotte the spider of Charlotte’s Web (such a sad book!), and Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe of the Anne of Green Gables series. I love to read, and to dream. If you ever meet me, look for a redhead in old fashioned clothes who either has her nose in a book or is gazing off into the distance dreamily. I grew up on a farm in the 1920s, but strange things happened, and now I’m here. I love my new sisters so much, and am overcome with joy that I shall finally have sisters. I have a cat, Ginger, and a doll, Mirette, and I’m the only girl that has her own bedroom. When I grow up, I think being an editor could be nice. What could be better than reading books all day long?
Birthday: May 8" - Sew Sweet Dollies

(I'm not going to tell you who I'm voting for, but I'm voting!)
