life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Here it is!

The somewhat long awaited (two days!) post: the dolls packed shoeboxes!
You should be glad that out of the 75 that I took in less that an hour, I'm only pos ting 27 (otherwise you'd be asleep by now!)!
Hey, and don't forget that it's National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes!

Julie and her silver shoebox!

Elizabeth had fun packing hers!

My trio of shoebox packers!

And can you guess what the background is?! A wall of OCC shoeboxes!

(we were actually taking the shoeboxes to church to pack at a party, but since they were so beautifully stacked up, I couldn't help but use them for the perfect background!)

I made Elly's skirt and Julie's skirt, and then layered Katie's tops for a new look!

My little brother made the cross in the background!

Somebody started getting silly..

Giving to others is always so much fun!

Thanks for looking through all of those! Did you like any in particular? It's funny, when I asked for ya'll to give your opinion, I stated that the average upload time was 30 minutes a piece that day.. and this morning I figured, 'Why not go ahead and upload some while no one is doing school or using the computer (uploading slows down everyone's Internet connection and frustrates certain people, a.k.a. sisters)?' So I start the uploading, flop onto the couch with my science book and my brother walks in and says, 'Hey, your pictures are done uploading.' I seriously was so shocked- eight in under five minutes! And then... 19 in under ten! Crazy internet... :) Anyways, I also have some of the Ultimate Hide and Seek photos uploaded and you can see some sneak peeks of the beach photoshoots on the 'The Stars' page where I updated the dolls' profiles! Go pack a shoebox!

  2. I'm really happy that you like them a lot! Thanks so much for your encouragement! I really like that second one too! Picking favorites in pictures is like asking someone to pick a favorite doll (which would be TOTALLY unfair to the rest of them. At least if you pick three, some won't feel left out :D)

    1. Depends on who you're comparing to! We have less than 200 people in our church, and only 70-80 people came to the party, but lots of people helped and donated- even people who didn't come to our church!
