life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Josie's POV, Monday, August 8, 2016
7:47 a.m.

I had gotten up early to dress and straighten up my desk.

It didn't take long, obviously, and I was eager to announce the day's events so...

I went ahead and put them up.

"Monday," I whispered to myself. "My first full day as Team Administrator."
I smiled at the chart. This was going to be a great day!

Noelle's POV, Monday, August 8, 2016
7:52 a.m.

The row of girls from Team Koala was still asleep when I woke up. Elizabeth tossed and turned over, wrapping her smiley face blanket over herself again.

I yawned, still half asleep, and then remembered where I was: Camp Dolls N' All.

I sat up, and accidently bumped Elly. She stirred again, and with all caution, I rose.

Carefully and quietly, I slipped out of my nice, warm blankets.

My little bunny slippers... sorry to interrupt, they're just too cute to ignore.

I folded my blankets and sat down comfortably onto the stack.

Dear Journal,
I'm already having a good time at camp- guess what? Elizabeth, my biological cousin, is here at Camp Dolls N' All too! I couldn't believe it, especially when we ended up in the same cabin and on the same team!

I glanced up at the time. It was already eight o'clock!
I headed with my clothes to the big pink bathtub...

and treated myself to a nice warm bath.

Meanwhile...

Amelia's POV, Monday, August 8, 2016
"Uh, Katie," I said with only a slight accent. "Nice shirt, but your hair..."
At this point, I immediately started laughing.

Poor Katie's wild hair always looked ridiculous in the morning.

"Thanks a lot," Katie grouched. Or, so it seemed (she protested at my decisive wording). "I can't help it!"

"Try a hairbrush." I immediately started laughing again. (Here she added that I said it very smart-aleckly [if that's a word] but I don't think so [that's just my normal tone of voice])

Samantha, the only one who hadn't gotten dressed, was still sitting on the bed. She had just woken up, the sleepy-head.

"Let me help," she offered kindly, and Katie sat down. It didn't take long for Sam to have Katie's hair nice and smoothed down.

"Can I borrow one of your headbands?" she asked me. Personally, I didn't like sharing, and as the baby of the family, I was reluctant in letting Katie (the newest one of us) use the few headbands I had brought along.
"If you must," I sighed and handed Sam one my favorites.
"Thanks, Amy," Samantha said gratefully.
"I don't see why you're the one saying that," I said pointedly. Let me explain- before Katie came, Samantha was my best friend. We did nearly everything together, except the few times she went hiking with Elly. Why, I have no idea. She's an introvert, like me. Katie is the complete opposite. She'll try anything and everything.
I guess I'm a little jealous, but sticking us in the same cabin for a week is like torture.
Living in the same house is enough.
Katie and Sam are only a week apart in age, so it's expected that they be friends. I'm the third wheel, especially on Team Panda.

"Come on," Katie offered. "Let's go and check the board!"
I reluctantly (yes, again) went with her.

"Hi Josie!" I chirped. Josie always knew what to do.

"Good morning!" Josie replied cheerfully.

I glanced down at the logo on her desk. So that's the secret she worked on during movies. Sneaky.
Anyways, today would be easy.

Elizabeth's POV, Monday, August 8, 2016
8:28 a.m.
I was sound asleep until I heard footsteps.

I rolled over and half-opened my eyes. As I yawned, I realized what time it was.

"Julie, Julie," I shook her arm. "Wake up, it's almost eight-thirty!"

Julie, her hair perfect (still), propped herself up on one arm.
"Are you serious?"

"Yes! We should be up already!" I replied, folding my sleeping bag.

Suddenly the door to the bathroom opened and out walked Noelle. She nonchalantly opened the dresser and grabbed a hairthing.

She swept her hair up into a bun with one hand and stuck her name tag on with the other.

"Good morning!" she grinned as she turned toward us.

"How are you always so perfect?" I protested. "Will you help me with my hair?"

Hair Tutorial
I'm using Elizabeth today as our hairstyle model!
So, brush out your dolls hair.

Pull it into a pony tail, part it in the middle before the hairthing and stick the end through the part.

Repeat.

You can either leave it like that, or twist the end into a bun like I did!

Noelle quickly styled my hair as Julie showered.
"Thanks!" I hugged her.

Suddenly Julie walked out in a bathrobe, her hair still in the shower cap.

"I don't know what I should wear!" she exclaimed.

At this uncharacteristic comment, Noelle and I looked at each other, shared a glance...

and immediately started laughing. Noelle was doubled over with laughter, as was I. Soon however, we helped her.

"Perfect," Noelle stuck the name tag onto Julie's top. "Let's go!"

Katie's POV, Monday, August 8, 2016
"How's Team Panda?" Josie asked.
"I'm great," I replied.
"Where are we headed first?" Amy inquired.
"Art, actually," Josie glanced down the hall. "But we have to wait for the others."

Soon footsteps were heard running down the hall. I followed Josie's gaze and saw Team Koala headed our way.

"Sorry about the wait," Noelle apologized as she approached the desk.

"No problem," Josie replied. "We're waiting for Sam."

Josie proceeded to describe the day's events.
"Today will be pretty packed, but don't worry, tomorrow there will be lots of time to just relax.

"We're doing music, art, and dance today. However, we'll start with art... and here comes Samantha, so as soon as she gets here, we'll head to the art room." Josie explained.

"I apologize for the delay," Samantha called as she hurried towards us.

"It's fine, Samantha!" Josie smiled.

We paused the conversation as Samantha joined us.

"Well, now that we're all here," Josie began.

"Follow me."
