  ~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

kat has new hair?! | a photoshoot


also I know DOTM shhhh but I'm trying to break this perfectionism and become consistent so bear with me XD

I was a little tired of Kat's hair. So I changed it. Alright, so not completely changed her hair but... here's the thing.
I love the color (despite friends who think it looks like carrot corkscrews and will never let me live that down XD) and I adore curly hair... it was just too much. There were too many curls and too big of curls.

So I straightened it. :)

You know that thing called school? The thing we're all apparently doing from home because quarantine and social distancing XD It was exasperating me one day (see neglected books at top of above photo) so I pulled out a straightener.


See, doesn't it look prettier? I like it, at least. Let me know what you think down below! And how many of you remember Kat's original hair? Check out my last post because I used her old wig. ;)

Now, cue completely unedited photoshoot because my wifi is being really weird (think everyone home and using usually okay internet... yeah, it's interesting XD) 


A few days before everything shut down, I got to go over to a nature reserve and snap some shots of Kat (yes, her hair is in braids, you have to scroll to see her new hair mwehehe).


Also, with her hair a little straighter, braids look so much more put together and stylish XD

And now for Kat's new hair...


isn't it simply stunning? 

Also, spring has sprung and I couldn't be happ- oh wait, is that pollen? -_- 




I just love how vibrant and cheery all the colors are though! 


It also makes her look a little older, don't you think?

    I can say from experience that carrot corkscrews have some kind of comedic quality to them-I dyed my already-curly hair red last summer and the humidity turned it into a bright red twisty mass xD
    Luckily, it eventually calmed down and faded, and now I have significantly less ridiculous looking. Kat's hair looks amazing!

    I like the new hair! It does make her look older.

    And yes, of course I remember her old hair! I've been here for a while, and I don't plan to go anywhere anytime soon :)
