Princess Jacquelyn Sophania Carales of the fair but torn land of Nuvoria.

 

 

I have Miss Elizabeth here today for a few questions about her new role - and make sure to ask questions in the comments for the stopmotion interview!

Elizabeth, what do you like best about the character of Jacquelyn?

Well, the character herself... absolutely nothing! laughs But I have to admit I absolutely loved dressing up. Her gowns are so insanely fancy - the wardrobe designers have done an amazing job! And the jewelry and hairstyles and everything is just... stunning. Plus, who doesn't like doing tons of photoshoots?

Tell us a tiny bit about your character - but not too many spoilers!

Jacquelyn is most definitely a spoiled little princess. I have to have so. much. training for this though - her skill in the arts is supposed to be a big part of the story so I have to make sure I'm getting it right! Drawing, painting, dancing, music - the harp is insanely hard, y'all - everything!

What's your favorite part about being in Secrets & Scandals?

I don't want to give away a ton of spoilers, but I've made an amazing friend on set - and it's so insanely fun to act together! When we're not on set... it's funny to watch people's reactions. I'm the star for the first ten episodes - doing double - and then my amazing-friend-who-I-can't-name-right-now enters and it's going to be awesome. We haven't actually gotten to film together yet, but when we do...

You've got a semi-romantic part in the story, don't you?

laughs Oh dear... um, yes, I do. I'm playing double, like I said, and it's a really big challenge to change personalities. I've definitely developed as an actress.

But the romantic part is kinda fun. laughs again It's hilarious when we're off set. Even during filming, we'll just start cracking up and then the director is just like 'Cut! You two, stop laughing, this is supposed to be really dramatic!' Yeah...

Can you say anything about the story itself?

Ah, I don't want to spoil anything! But, I'll tell you this much - the kingdom of Nuvoria has been divided for fourteen years, just as a prophecy had long foretold. And danger is drawing closer. The story follows the lives of three young people and their impact on the kingdom.
