life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack o...

The Lone Ranger ~ August DOTM ~

Well, I was just minding my own business, listening to the radio with by best friend and next room neighbor, Maryellen, after our day of escapades.
ā€œYou were riding Duffy! Seriously?ā€ Kanani questioned us.

ā€œOkay, so maybe things a tad out of hand. . .ā€ I responded.
ā€œA tad? These are my nice tupperwares!ā€ Rachel grumped.

ā€œFine, fine.ā€ Maryellen and I sighed.

A few hours earlier. . . . .

ā€œHey, Maryellen, the Lone Ranger rerun will be starting soon!ā€ I shouted.

ā€œOkay, okay, coming!ā€ answered Maryellen.
She runs into the room.

ā€œAll ready!ā€

ā€œUm, what are you holding?ā€ I ask
ā€œBowls. In the radio stations, they used coconut shells to make the horse clomping sound, but these were the closest I could find.ā€

ā€œUm, okay? Let’s pretend we are the horse!ā€ I say, doubting Maryellen’s plan all the same.

We start clomping the bowls.

ā€œThese aren’t loud enough,ā€ she complains.
ā€œI have an idea!ā€ I declare. ā€œAbout we get a real horse! Well, one of Rachel or Felicity’s horses wouldn’t fit into the house. But Duffy is so big, he might as well be a horse!ā€

ā€œYee haw!ā€ I shout as I jump on Duffy and start riding him around the room.

ā€œHey hey hey!ā€ Rachel and Kanani walk in. ā€œWhat’s all the ruckus?!ā€

ā€œUm. . . he he he. . . long story. . .ā€

THE END
