life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. Steps to News Journaling ~ August DOTM ~

Today I’m going to inform you on the steps to writing a successful news article!

Step 1. Always have pen and paper handy! You’ll never know when you’ll stumble across a great story!
Step 2. Find current events or happenings to attend. It could be as dramatic as a shooting, or as simple as a cat rescued out of a tree.

Step 3. Take pictures. Always have your camera to document the events going on. Pictures make every article better!

Step 4. Get back to your desk to put your notes into paragraphs. Don’t forget the captions for the pictures! You can type it up on a typewriter or computer, your choice, but I prefer my typewriter.

Step 5. Take it to a newspaper office to see about publishing it!

Step 6. Hopefully your article will get published!

I hope this was helpful for all of you aspiring doll journalists out there! See you later!

  3. Bloopers: That second picture was just my roommates Gabby and Katie, and my neighbor Samantha, kindly posing for that picture. No doll was harmed in the making of this post. (Except Katie might have almost died from extreme heat in all black, JK)
