life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Camp Dolls N' All: Day 5, Baking & The Best

Friday came. A lot of the girls were sad that camp was almost over, but others were getting really excited about the ceremony and the baking competition and the everything!
************************************************
The cooking/baking competition was up. Noelle, Mia, Julie, and Elly each drew a meal/snack. Mia got breakfast and made scones.

Delicious!

Julie got dessert, so she made cupcakes with chocolate frosting.

Elly had lunch and made grilled cheese sandwiches, and Noelle's spaghetti was gone pretty fast.

The evening ceremony came. Two girls from each cabin were invited to perform, and then another girl would show their drama video.. and then the winner would be announced.

Katie, from Cabin White Birch, performed a gymnastics routine.

Mia shyly danced her routine from her spring recital.

Don't you just love her buns?

Next up, Cabin Dogwood decided that they only wanted one girl to perform, and invited a third girl from Cabin White Birch to do it with her.

Noelle, in a denim dress and boots, sang a Tenney Grant song - 'Hope'.

Juliette, from Cabin White Birch, sang the harmony.

Then it came time for the presentations.
Cabin Dogwood's drama was an excerpt from the Isabelle book, with Noelle starring as Isabelle and Julie costarring as Jade.
Cabin White Birch created a Victorian piece from 'Meet Samantha'. You can watch a silent version of their stopmotion here:

The winner of the week-long challenge......
Cabin White Birch!

Congratulations Mia, Samantha, Julie, and Kit!

We hope you all enjoyed reading about our days at camp!

    1. Thank you!! :) OHHHH... really? You like it that much?!?! I'll let you in on a little secret. :) It's a size 4(or 5) girl's skirt turned inside out and sewed down the middle (it really depends on the size of the doll and skirt, so just slide it on the doll and mark the best spot). :)
