life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

The Master At Work

The master at work, eh? well, who might that masterful master be? I'll let you guess.
{did you guess?} YOU'RE RIGHT! XD
Last week, I got to meet and watch and talk to...
Madison Lorfing!
Literally the best overall blogger E.V.E.R.
Her photostories are phenomenal (except they have terrible cliffhangers. She's really, really mean like that, though I have to thank her for letting me have a little sneak peek at Heads Up... mwhahahahahaaaa), her photoshoots are incredible, the blog design is amazing, and I have loved every minute that we get to chat to each other - Skype, comments, or phone.

Madi, thank you so much for being such an absolutely incredible and amazing friend!!!
Ya'll seriously need to meet her. It was the best day of the entire Florida trip (and yes, pics coming soon)!

Together (I LOVE THAT WORD!!! LIKE, SERIOUSLY, WE GOT TO MEET EACH OTHER AND TAKE PICTURE TOGETHER!!!! and caps totally rule.) we had our dolls visit the open-to-public displays at the AGP in Orlando! Madi used the model doll as the room service lady, but she wouldn't hold the tray. I suggested the good 'ole hairthing around the wrists trick. Did it work? You'll have to wait until the next post to find out!

What on earth is she doing here?!

Checking to make sure there were some good pictures of Taryn (*dies over and over and over* OHMYGOODNESS TARYN IS SO GORGEOUS! I seriously cannot get over it. No joke.)...

Ha. That was fun. Oh, yeah...

The horrid handstand. You'd think Del would be more cooperative. Hey wait, what on earth am I saying? Del, cooperative? Never!

Ha, so there. My dolls were there, proving that I was too (in case you were wondering if I really existed with Madi).

I can't wait to see how her pictures turn out..... ahhhh! No matter whether she's using her iPhone or camera, her photos are phenomenal.

This was so much fun to set up!!! (back to front: Elly, Del, Taryn, Mia, Madi)

Coming up soon - Frenzy in the Food Court!

Del, you are terribly awesome. XD

Tip from the master (oooh, Madi the Master and Master Madi have a ring to it...): If the focus doesn't work, use angles.
Fine, I admit I paraphrased. But she did say that since her phone didn't get great focus, she does angles. And it was astonishing to watch... and I think the cleaning guys thought so too because they kept giving us odd looks. XD XD

See?

bunny ears!
I ♥♥♥♥♥ meeting Madi! It was i.n.c.r.e.d.i.b.l.e.

  7. Love that line, "Del be cooperative?" Too funny!
This is a really neat post and I like how your photographer caught some really interesting photos of you at work. The care you take in setting a scene comes through quite clearly (as it does in your own photos).
