life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

My Cello Solo ~ April DOTM ~

Today, I performed a Bach cello concerto. It was a part of the program at my schools, "Love the Arts" concert.  There were some amazing singers, musicians, and dancers. Even the drama kids performed a little play. It was a pretty long program (over 3 hours!) because of how many people there were. I think my favorite performance was my best friend Anna's ballet dance. She's beyond beyond talented! I'm not quite sure how she can stay pointed on her toes for that long! I was pretty nervous, but I think it went well. I only messed up this one part, but I don't think anyone noticed. I had to memorize every movement, so I think little mess ups are okay. I received a standing ovation and some flowers from my sisters. I think that was really sweet of them.
My sister Kennedy made the amazing dress I'm wearing. She's so talented! It flows so perfectly when I'm playing. Plus it sparkles under the lights! I received some many compliments on the dress. I can't see me wearing this from anything besides solo concerts (and maybe prom? I'm not going to that though.), but I felt like a princess. It is great to feel like a princess!

These pictures were taken before I started play. I think they look very elegant and classy! I'm so glad that I now have photos of me and my cello. I feel very professional!

This one was taken when I was playing. Not quite sure what I'm looking at, but I hope I was sounding good at this point! Thank you for reading my little story about my concert. See you next time on DNA!
