life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

5 Reasons Why I'd Love to Be Nanea Mitchell

To put it simply, I love Nanea.
She's GORGEOUS!
Forget EVERY other doll I've EVER wanted - she is the best doll AG has ever made. E.V.E.R.
I am totally saving up for her, like now, so I can go to the release this fall.
*dreamily gazes into distance*

Anyways, if AG made a movie, it'd be so fun to be Nanea! I've come up with five reasons why. :D

5. In honor of the time period.

My great-grandfather fought in World War II. It seems as though I could honor him by doing that. He never wants to talk about his experiences though. It's kinda sad. I've always been interested in Pearl Harbor (not so much the rest of WWII, but...) because of this next reason.

4. I love Hawaii!

I recently found a report I had done on Hawaii in third grade:

'Hawaii is the 50th state. It entered the Union on August 21, 1959, during Dwight D. Eisenhower's presidency. The state of Hawaii includes eight main islands and one-hundred twenty-four islets. Hawaii, or "The Big Island" is the biggest island out of eight. The Big Island is best known for being the biggest island and for its volcanoes. Lava beds and volcanic ash are also popular on the Big Island. Maui, nicknamed "Valley Isle", is full of rich, red soil which is wonderful to use during farming. Lush land helps separate the two volcanic mountains in Maui. Molokai, the third main island, is known as "The Friendly Isle" for its friendly people. Lanai is "The Private Island". Because of the fact that only few tourists know about Lanai, it is quite the opposite of Oahu. Oahu is very popular for tourists. Called the Gathering Place, it is the site of Honolulu (the capital of Hawaii), Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, and Waikiki Beach - a two mile long, popular tourist beach. Niihau, which is private property, was bough in 1864 by a woman named Elizabeth Sinclair and is now called the Forbidden Island. The last two islands are Kahoolawe, a deserted island, and Kauai, the Garden Isle.

That's the front of the page. The back is just as long. And hey, it was pretty good for a third grader!
I've always loved Hawaii - I have several books on it, I once started writing a fictional book where the setting was Hawaii (I never finished it though), and I love looking at the scrapbook my grandmother made when she and my grandfather went. I'd love to go parasailing, to a true luau, paddleboarding, surfing.... yeah.

3. I can play the uke...
Okay, fine. Not really well, but I can play chords and just have fun with it! :D

2. I love AG!
I mean, seriously, I actually live in American. It bugs me when they cast Canadians as the main role of an American girl. Not that I have anything against Canadians - hey, I have friends in Canada! :D It's just... a great example of irony. :D
Also, I think it'd be cool if any AG blogger got to star in an AG movie! Maybe one day I'll see YOU in it!

1. I look like her.
Really, you wouldn't even have to dye my hair like Erin Pitts or Sidney Fullmer. (sorry, that's another pet peeve..)
I have dark brown hair, and the right complexion too! :D (I'm half Filipino.... so I'm kidna like her - not that she's Filipino - I wish! - but she's part Asian, I think...)
I even have a new quote for myself, "Well, curl my hair and call me Nanea Mitchell!"

*********************
I dunno. That was kinda fun. Seriously, though it'd be fun! :D

  1. Oh my goodness, I wish you got to play Nanea Mitchell! After I got past being mad that they weren't bringing back my dear little MOLLY from the 40's, I realized she's a pretty cute dolly! But I think #59 may be my last doll for a long while!
