life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Prize Paper Packages, No. 1 GIVEAWAY WINNER!

Remember these? Hint - the first PPP.
Well, the winner was supposed to be posted this past Monday, but I got caught up in school and I planned on doing it the next day or the next, but things just kept coming up (doctor appointments, immunizations, art, piano, and Spanish lessons, and so on and so forth)... I knew you guys would understand, but I still hate not doing what I said I would. Anyways, do you want to know who won? (of course you do!) Well, here's a little something...

Told by Julie, in Julie's POV
My slippers padded across the floor as I headed to the trunk to choose an outfit for the day.

As I walked over, I noticed a piece of paper laying on top.

I read it silently, then picked it up. The letter read:
Hey girls!
I'm working on my first day of school but I need to post the winner of the giveaway. Just think of something clever & Madi and Sam can post it. Thanks!
Love, Light4theLord

Great. Just great. (not)

"Madi!" I called. "Come here a second!"

She joined me by the trunk and set her camera down on top of it.

I handed her the letter. Scanning it, she read over it and grinned.
"This is gonna be great!"
Yeah, right. I thought.

We walked into the bedroom to grab the stuff, and then headed back into the better lighting (still not the best, or so Madi says).

"Alright, ready?" Madi asked, setting her camera up to get the right shot.

I stood in front of all the names of the great and fantastic readers, followers, and subscribers.

I closed my eyes...

Reached into all those names..

And pulled one out.

When I opened it and read it, I turned to Madi with a grin. "You're right. This is gonna be great!"

Originally I wanted to ride in on a, ahem, particular stuffed animal of L4TL's brothers' but no one could find the one I needed... so Samantha wanted to do this. Whatever.
"I need more As!" Katie waved her arms around exasperatedly.

Samantha whisked out a Sharpie, turned the letter V upside down and drew a thick line across the middle.
"Okay. That works!" she declared, popping the cap back on.

"I've got the C!" Katie handed it to Sam, who was arranging the letters.

"Are we good so far?" Samantha asked me. I looked down at the paper and nodded.

"Perfect!" Katie crowed, proud of their creation. I personally thought that the stuffed animal STILL would've been better but...

"CONGRATULATIONS CUTE POLAR BEAR!" we all exclaimed at once!

Ta-da!
"Congrats, CutePolarBear!" Katie held up the strip of paper. "Look in your inbox for your congratulatory email - and yes, Samantha told me how to pronounce that correctly. Oh, and don't forget to reply within three days to claim your prize, 'cause I sure don't wanna have to go through all of that again to pick another winner!"

Congratulations, CutePolarBear! The dolls said it all, so I hope you like your prize!
