life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Grace handed the rectangular present to Josefina, who held it for a moment to build suspense.

"Will you guys get over the whole suspense thing and just give it to me?!!?" Elizabeth exclaimed impatiently.

Everyone laughed, and then Josie reached over and handed it to Elizabeth.

She ripped open the 'happy birthday' paper and squealed when she saw it.

"Oh, yes! Finally!" she held it up. "Yes, yes, yes!"

"I love the screensaver!" Elly showed everyone her new phone.

"Remember-" Josie began.
"The rules." Elizabeth finished. "Phones off by 8:30 p.m. So on and so forth. I know them by heart, Josie- no need to worry!"

"I hope my present doesn't disappoint!" Grace held out a big sparkly box.

On top was a glitter pink card to match, as well.
"Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!" she handed the present to Elly.

She flipped the card over first and read outloud, "Happy Birthday Elly!"

She silently read the rest of the card, then looked up and thanked Grace before opening the box.

As she slid the sparkly top off, she saw an object wrapped in lavender tissue paper.

Unfolding the tissue paper, she saw something pink.

"Oh, cool!" Elly exclaimed.
"What is it?" Everyone else clamored.

Elizabeth held it up for all to see.

Five little charms were in a cute package: the Eiffel Tower, a camera, a suitcase, an anchor and an airplane.

"Thank you, Grace," Elizabeth hopped up and gave her a hug.

"I hope that they will each represent an adventure we have together," Grace whispered into her ear.

"I'm sure they will." Elizabeth flashed a grin.
Then, turning to her sisters, Elizabeth began.

"Thank you all so much," Elizabeth said. "This is the best birthday of my whole life, and I love every single present you've given me!"

"You guys are the best."

As Elizabeth finished, Grace stepped up. "Now let the game begin!"
