life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. Explain This: American Girl Edition

This should be a fun, thoughtful type post!

In each 'Explain This' post, I'll give two things that I've noticed about AG and you guys will give me your thoughts, and give reasonable explanations! Hey, and you can also suggest some statements for the next post! They'll be in the form of simple statements, with some pictures- I won't put my opinion, so as not to offend anyone. This is just for thought and discussion (I am also not criticizing anyone or AG)!

1. American Girl Dolls are made in China, sold in Mexico, shipped to Ireland, and a majority of their actresses are Canadian.

2. Explain this: The shorts over tights style.

 BOTH OF THESE ARE STOCKPHOTOS

See you next time!

  1. With the shorts over tights thing, I would say it was probably to cold to wear shorts so some one put tights under them and it stuck as a style. I don't mind the look myself, but I don't do it a lot because I don't have many tights. ;)

    1. You're probably right, Taryn! Where I live, it's nearly impossible to wear tights unless you turn the air conditioning on in the winter!

  2. China is where most of the products in America come from, so I guess it's natural. But the rest is pretty confuzzling. XD LOL!
The shorts over tights style isn't my favorite, but I think it looks OK. :P
This is super cool, Samantha! ;)
