life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack o...

Fashion Friday: Hairstyles Fit for Hollywood!

Fashion Friday: Hairstyles Fit for Hollywood!

by yours truly, Juliette
Or, any other day and place! Here's a few of the family favorites:
modeled by Grace, it's just a simple bun with a braid that ties in!

I'm not exactly sure how this was done, except that a couple side braids were twisted into some sort of looped hairstyle that's really pretty from all angles!

This one may look tricky, but it's actually only a French braid with a strand of plastic pearls for one of the Time Traveling Twins.

Another one... not done by me, but styled on Grace. It's a lovely coral headband twist! Don't those flowers add a nice touch?

Okay, so this might not be your personal favorite, but it's merely coils of long strands twisted until they automatically twist! This stage of it is cutesy, I guess, but when you uncoil them and let out the bobby pins, they are cute long curls!

This one is on Elly, because her hair is super fun to play with. It's a star headband wrapped twice around her hair to make it a double-band and then it's a half up with a black barrette. Her hair was a little curly from one of my other inventions. The headband makes it stand out more.

I absolutely love, love, l♥ve this one! It's rather time consuming, but I left in the headband and did a braid on each side of Elly's head. (the ones that are crossed over each other) With the rest of her hair, I separated it into four equal parts and rolled them on the brush up to the top, pinned 'em and crossed the braids over! Voila!

Katie's hair can be hard to do, since it's so short, but there are plenty of creative ways to do it and make it look great! My personal favorite is the waterfall braid, shown here!

One of my friends, Hailey, let me do her hair. It's just two tiny side braids tied off with a red hairbow. Simple!

Another on Amy, a simple ponytail with a pink (it looks red here, but it's really pink) tie on. Cute! -if you want to see it in full length from the front, check this link: Meet Amy Sorrenson

I love this on Noelle, my cousin. She's an awesome girl, BTW, but anyways, it's just a fishtail but the layers in her blonde hair make it super adorbs. I actually did this one for a fashion show (shown sometime in the near future) and her theme was 'Under the Sea' so a fishtail braid was appropriate. Also, when it's loose, it leaves a few side bangs that when combined with the sunglasses, make her look like a celebrity or something!

Yet another bun, on Miss Gwendolyn. She's Grace's good friend, and one of mine too. I dubbed this hairstyle the 'Skirt Bun' because it's a circle skirt twisted into a doughnut sorta thing with her hair pulled over it into a bun! Her hair is shorter than mine, so it really has to work with the length of hair and the skirt size.

Ella, shown above, is displaying a rose clip attached to a simple 'twist n' turn' bun. It was really easy, but pretty because of the clip.

Here's two pictures of Elly's hairstyle. No, she doesn't have naturally curly hair (unfortunately, cause I really want a curly-haired sister to try stuff out on) but I made it do. I just separated it again and rolled it at the end of the brush! Half-up fishtail tucked under and, yay!

I did the same thing with Josie's hair, which made it look amazing, like she was going somewhere fancy, but since her hair is so dark, it's hard to see in this picture!
So, I hope you enjoyed this! This is a bonus of Elly's hair after I took down the hairstyle of hers that was the bun with the crossover braids. It was rainy, so I had lots of time!

So, which one did you like the most? Vote for a tutorial below!
