life ~ a photostory

~ a life update in the form of a photostory ~ this is truly Julia's aesthetic, entirely by accident, most of her closet is blue and white stripes. she's always either wearing her airplane propeller necklace or her dream necklace, wearing double dutch braids.  Once upon a time, there was a girl named Julia. She was a dreamer, one with a good imagination and wide horizons. Some of her happiest days as a teenager were spent taking photos of dolls, lying in the street to get the perfect angle. Her dolls were like built in friends, companions wherever she went, on trips and vacations and outings.  As she grew up, Julia grew busier and busier, and high school was a lot of work. But she had goals and she did everything she could to reach them. One of them was graduating two years early, which took up a lot of time and energy. After hours upon hours of studying, she finally graduated.  Taking a gap year beginning in 2020, the weirdest year of the century, she had no lack of other thi

Glory Goes To

God.

May all the glory be given to God! HE has given me so many opportunities and blessed me in so many ways.
God's not a genie in a bottle, or a giant in the sky, or a man from a book.
He's my Creator, my heavenly Father, my Redeemer.
Let me take you on the Romans Road.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23

God created everything: animals, DNA, insects, the atmosphere so that we don't suffocate or burn, innumerable stars, the universe... but there is one thing that He cannot tolerate: sin.
Sin is anything that is disobeying God. God is righteous and perfect, holy, and He has created a place for us in heaven, which is also perfect. But if we have sin, He cannot let us in.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 6:23

If we are sinful, we do not deserve eternal life. We deserve death.
If you were given a gift, does it mean that you earned it? No! If you earned it, it would be payment, not a gift. A gift is something that is undeserved by you.
That is why God sacrificed HIS only Son who is perfect, Jesus Christ, to die our death and pay the penalty so that we can live with Him.

"God demonstrates His love toward us, in that, while we were sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

God loves us, and does not want to be separated from us, who were made in His image. He gave us a gift by sending someone else in our place. But Jesus didn't stay dead! He rose again, and is in heaven, preparing a place for us!
But just like any other gift, it isn't yours until you take it. God is offering you a gift, but it is up to you to take it, and receive it.
Will you?

"If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Romans 10:9

Will you profess your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord? Will you submit your life and let Him have control, to cleanse you with His blood?

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Romans 10:13

You might not think that this page should be on what is considered a 'doll blog'. But when God is the center of my life, He should be in everything I do, including this blog.
